Cheryl’s Bio

 

About

After an early career in sales and customer service on Wall Street and as a non-profit development director, Cheryl Bundy pivoted her career. She attended Yale Divinity School, where she received her Master’s in Religion. She went on to serve as interfaith chaplain at Norwalk Hospital, where she completed 1600 hours of clinical pastoral education in the ICU, palliative care, hospice, and psychiatry units. She is a board-certified chaplain.

She completed a 40 Hour Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course and is trained in the basics of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Cheryl is currently a candidate for a Doctor in Ministry in integrated mental health chaplaincy at Vanderbilt Divinity School. In addition to her work with mindfulness at Silver Hill, she has studied mindfulness and mindfulness practice through Google’s “Search Inside Yourself” curriculum and The Copper Beech Institute.

Mission

Since 2017, Cheryl has worked as the Director of Spiritual Care at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan. Her clinical work focuses on the holistic elements of patient care, and she runs regular psychoeducation groups and counsels individual patients on spirituality, spiritual practices, grief and loss, and finding meaning.
