Story

Dana came to yoga while her mother was in cancer treatment. Her mother was taking yoga to help heal her body while going through treatment. At the time, Dana was a D1 college cheerleader at NC State. One summer, she took classes with her mother every day for a month and realized how yoga improved back pain she had had for years. Over time, Dana continued to practice yoga on her own at college and began to see both physical health and mental health benefits.

Practice

“Little and often” guides Dana’s daily rituals. While she loves a full-hour long practice, she generally begins and ends her day with pranayama and meditation. Her go-to pranayama practice is Nadi shodhana. Finding moments to pause, reflect, and integrate daily helps her practice become more consistent and nurturing even when daily life gets busy.

What brings Dana joy

Dana loves to spend time in nature, be with friends and family, travel and do sports. She also loves to spend time by the ocean, visiting waterfalls, or going for a hike.
